Nearly 100 suppliers attend The Wholesale Group’s recent Foodservice Fair

The Wholesale Group recently held its largest Foodservice Fair to date, bringing 95 suppliers together with foodservice members.

The event in Stratford-upon-Avon gave suppliers direct access to The Wholesale Group’s foodservice membership, with established ranges and new product development on show alongside a dedicated own-brand presence.

Members could see and sample products from the group’s growing portfolio, including CORE Juices and Spring Water, CHEF Prestige Cooking Wines, CHEF Approved foodservice products, and the CLEAN Solutions range.

Coral Rose, managing director foodservice at The Wholesale Group, said: “There was a fantastic energy throughout the Foodservice Fair and it was great to see so many conversations taking place between our members and supplier partners. The event is about creating real opportunities to do business and, with 95 suppliers exhibiting, members were able to see and sample products, discover new ideas and have valuable face-to-face conversations with the people behind the brands.

“For suppliers, it provided direct access to independent wholesalers and an opportunity to demonstrate how their products can support members and their customers. It also gave us an important platform to showcase the breadth of our own-brand portfolio and the new products we are continuing to develop in response to the needs of the foodservice market.

“Strong relationships between members and suppliers are fundamental to what we do at The Wholesale Group. There is still enormous value in bringing people together face to face, and it was brilliant to see those conversations creating new connections, strengthening existing relationships and opening up new commercial opportunities.”

Joe Evans of member Roy Evans Foodservice said: “It saves so much time being able to see so many suppliers in one place. There were some really good deals available and we discovered a range of products that we’d now like to try.”

Clare Harrison of supplier Emmi Desserts said: “It was a really well organised event with a stream of members throughout the day. We were able to speak to wholesalers we don’t already deal with and came away with some significant opportunities.”
