Zest Food Partners teams up with Global Fries to chip into UK foodservice
Zest Food Partners has announced a new partnership with Global Fries, a Belgian producer of high-quality frozen potato products.
Global Fries, based in Vleteren, West Flanders, has rapidly expanded since it was founded in 2021 – it now exports to over 120 countries and turns over €75 million annually.
The company offers a diverse range of frozen potato products, including shoestring, straight cut, steakhouse, and crinkle-cut fries, alongside wedges, slices, diced potatoes, and mashed potato. Its production is underpinned by rigorous food safety standards, including HACCP and IFS certification. Global Fries specialises in private label customers.
Andrew Longley of Global Fries Sales UK and Ireland says: “Global Fries combines scale, quality and ambition – a perfect fit for the UK foodservice market. I’m pleased to be working with the team at Zest Food Partners to enter the market. With Zest’s support, we see a great opportunity to offer something new and competitive to our customers and being able to offer added support to the buying groups and their members.”
This collaboration will see Zest lead on sales and marketing support, helping Global Fries establish a strong foothold in key areas of the UK foodservice market. The partnership will provide comprehensive support to foodservice buying groups and their members, including trade show participation, regular account management and development, and key customer visits – all designed to drive growth and build lasting relationships.
Nick Redford, strategy director of Zest Food Partners, says: “We’re excited to work with Andrew to support the Global Fries launch with a full-service approach that helps wholesalers and their customers access great products backed by real commercial support. This is a great partnership – one where we’ll be hands-on in driving customer engagement and delivering value from day one.”
The UK launch will focus on providing wholesalers and operators with access to premium, consistent, and competitively priced frozen chips, backed by strategic sales and marketing activity tailored to the UK market.
