Woods Foodservice appoints ex-Booker Andy Walsh as commercial director

Woods Foodservice has appointed Andy Walsh as commercial director, strategy & projects.

Formerly operations & project manager at Booker for nearly three years, Walsh (pictured) was also sales & marketing manager at Booker for 13 and a half years.

Walsh started his career as a chef, working at a hotel in Blackpool before moving to Hilton Hotels and Marriott Hotels, spending three years at each. After that he spent more than eight years at Makro as catering customer manager and three years at Morrisons as category manager.

Commenting on his new role, he said: “I’m excited to get started, building on an already strong platform and helping drive the business to its next phase of growth.”

Woods Foodservice is B Corp certified and based in Uxbridge. It is a family-owned business that has been supplying hospitality providers and restaurateurs since 1982. In the New Year, Woods Foodservice acquired John Mower & Co, which is based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.
