WKD has Christmas all wrapped up

SHS Drinks has announced it will be running tailored wholesale and cash & carry added-value promotions on selected bottles of WKD in the lead up to Christmas.

The initiative will give retailers the opportunity to offer ‘two for £5’ deals on the trio of WKD £2.99 PMP 700ml bottles (Blue, Iron Brew and Red), and a single unit price of £4.49 on the WKD £4.99 PMP 4-packs (Blue, Iron Brew and Vegas Limited Edition).

Last Christmas, WKD Blue and WKD Iron Brew 275ml 4-packs were the star performers in the brand’s portfolio, with sales volumes up by 9% and 18% respectively in impulse stores (Nielsen).

This time around, SHS has revealed that it will be running bespoke trade days with specific wholesalers and cash & carries over the coming weeks to offer customers supplementary deals and special offers.

The activity is running in conjunction with an ‘Xmas Rules’ interactive digital campaign to promote Britain’s biggest-selling RTD brand (Nielsen).

Launching on 28 November, the social media drive will encourage fans to share their Christmas plans and their own take on conforming to ‘Xmas rules’.

The best posts and tweets will be rewarded with festive prizes, including WKD’s ‘Greatest Hats’, Christmas jumpers and branded gift-wrapping paper.
