WiW launches ‘Work Happy’ as its 2025 theme

Women in Wholesale (WiW) has announced its theme for 2025: Work Happy.

The theme is a response to research from Wellhub, which shows that UK employees value wellbeing over salary. It is designed to empower women to feel motivated, energised and truly happy in their careers.

“Happier employees are more likely to succeed,” said Clare Bocking, WiW chairperson. “To see greater diversity in leadership, we must provide women with the tools and support they need – not just to be great leaders but to become happier, more confident and motivated. Happier staff are more productive and successful, making it a win-win for everyone.”

According to Wellhub’s Annual State of Work-Life Wellness Report, 88% of UK employees say wellbeing is more important than salary. “This highlights that happiness at work is becoming a stronger motivator than salary, underlining the importance of building teams that feel valued and engaged,” said Bocking.

WiW will explore key topics in 2025, shaped by member input, including strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, stakeholder management, assertiveness, boundary setting, and transitioning into leadership. These topics will be featured at WiW’s Speed Mentoring event on 2 May at Convene, Bishopsgate, as well as at online sessions throughout the year.
