Watford latest depot to celebrate Hancocks’ 60th anniversary

Hancocks in Watford is the latest branch to celebrate the wholesaler’s 60th anniversary.

The depot held an event for customers and suppliers on 25 August, and the 159 customers who attended were able to take advantage of hundreds of offers as well as prize draws and giveaways.

The Hancocks depot in Watford, which opened in 2005, supplies retailers from across London and the South East with confectionery from around the world. It also offers a click & collect service for customers who prefer to shop online.

The branch also exports across the globe to countries including the Bahamas, Malta, Hong Kong, Dubai, Portugal, Germany and Nigeria.

Sixtieth anniversary celebrations are taking place across the Hancocks stores throughout this year.

Hancocks’ chief operating officer Jonathan Summerley said: “Sixty years in business is such a milestone. That’s down to our fantastic teams working together to ensure we’re constantly providing retailers with the best selection of confectionery.  And of course, we couldn’t have done it without our suppliers too.

“Being able to hold events at each of our 14 stores is certainly the best way to mark 60 years and has allowed us to appreciate the scale of Hancocks and how much it has grown.”
