Waterside Food Services relocates to new depot in Branston

Waterside Food Services, an independent, family-run foodservice wholesaler in the Midlands, has relocated all of its operations to a 32,000 sq ft depot at Unit 4, Premier Park, Lichfield Road, Branston, Staffordshire.

The relocation consolidates operations that were previously spread across three separate warehouses in Rugeley.

The new depot not only streamlines internal processes but also increases storage capacity, improves logistics and creates a more cohesive working environment for staff. These enhancements are designed to support continued growth and uphold the high standards of service that Waterside’s customers receive.

Since it was founded in 2015, Waterside has grown from a single-van operation into a thriving wholesaler with a diversified product range spanning frozen, chilled, ambient, beverages, disposables, equipment and cleaning categories, supported by a fleet of multi-temperature vehicles. It supplies customers across the foodservice channel, including hospitality, education, care homes and sports venues.

Chris Morgan, managing director of Waterside Food Services, said: “Bringing all of our operations together under one roof represents a huge milestone for Waterside. This move allows us to operate more efficiently, better manage stock, and offer an even higher level of service to our customers. Our team is excited for what the future holds as we settle into this fantastic new facility.”

The relocation also positions Waterside Food Services for further expansion and puts the company in a premium location on the A38 with excellent road links, enhancing distribution capabilities across the Midlands and beyond.

To celebrate the move, Waterside Food Services is inviting customers and suppliers to the new site for an open day on 28 January.
