United Wholesale Scotland boosts turnover to £327 million and gross profit to £31 million
United Wholesale (Scotland) has reported record turnover and gross profit for the year ended 31 December 2025.
Group turnover increased by almost 15% to £327 million, while gross profit reached a record £31 million. In addition, the company achieved all its major KPIs.
The acquisition of the former Time Wholesale Services depot in Rainham, Essex, added a fourth depot to the business, strengthening UWS’s presence beyond Scotland.
Investment in UWS’s Day-Today symbol group is also paying off, with growth in the store estate alongside continued development of existing stores. This includes the group’s first programme to digitise the estate, introducing in-store digital screens and its ‘Spin to Win’ gamification campaign to help retailers engage shoppers, drive footfall and increase sales.
UWS’s priorities are to expand its established Scottish business across both collect and delivered wholesale, build on Rainham’s early success, and support the continued growth of its symbol retailers.
Managing director Chris Gallacher said: “We are delighted to report another record year for the business. Cash & carry wholesaling and convenience retailing continue to face pressure from rising costs and challenging trading conditions, making these results particularly pleasing.
“Our five-year growth plan remains on track, and we continue to monitor our key performance indicators closely to ensure we build on this progress.
“It is particularly encouraging to see our investment in Day-Today delivering results. We are attracting new retailers while helping our existing partners develop their stores. Our focus is on helping them build stronger, more profitable businesses.
“These results reflect the commitment of our colleagues and the strength of our relationships with our retailer and supplier partners. Their hard work, support and trust have been central to everything we have achieved.”
