Unitas appoints Lee Wharton as trading controller – on-trade

Unitas Wholesale has appointed Lee Wharton as trading controller – on-trade. In his new role, he will work alongside trading controller Martin Spivey for a period before Spivey takes early retirement.

Wharton (pictured) was formerly national sales manager –on-trade for Heineken for four years, and before that he spent a similar time as national account manager – on-trade for Suntory Beverage & Food. He also previously worked at Molson Coors for 12 years.

Commenting on his appointment, Wharton said: “My role will bring together all my skills that I’ve developed over the past 20 years in the drinks industry, and I’ll be aiming to deliver growth and value for our members, our suppliers and customers.”
