Unitas appoints Garreth Wilson as head of foodservice development
Garreth Wilson, former managing director of Total Foodservice, has joined Unitas as head of foodservice development.
The new role at Unitas been created to develop and deliver a growth strategy for the group’s foodservice members.
Wilson (pictured) has more than 20 years of senior leadership experience across foodservice, wholesale, FMCG and multi-site distribution, gained during his time at Miller Food Service and Total Foodservice. The parent company of Miller Food Service acquired Total Foodservice in 2024 and both now trade under the Total Foodservice name.
Unitas CEO John Kinney commented: “Garreth has a proven track record in foodservice development and will be an excellent addition to our leadership team as we continue to strengthen our foodservice proposition and enhance the support we provide to our members.
“We are delivering on our ambition to implement a compelling growth strategy for our members and supplier partners, and we are delighted to have Garreth playing a huge part in reaching that goal.”
The role will involve engaging with members, understanding their businesses, and identifying opportunities to grow sales into the vast diversity of foodservice and catering outlets they serve.
He was introduced to the Unitas members along with 48 suppliers at Unitas’s recent Foodservice Meet the Member event.
“Having the members and suppliers all together in one place has been the perfect way to start this new adventure,” said Wilson. “I’m looking forward to exploring how we can work even closer together over the coming months.”
