Turner Price to expand Cater Expo event to Newcastle

Hull-based wholesaler Turner Price is taking its Cater Expo to Newcastle for the first time this spring.

To be held on 29 April at the Utilita Arena Newcastle, the event will bring together over 100 food and drink suppliers, showcasing the latest products, trends and innovations from across the foodservice sector.

Free to attend and open to all catering professionals, the Cater Expo is expected to attract hundreds of visitors from across the region.

In addition to the event in Newcastle, Turner Price will host its established Cater Expo event in Hull later in the year.

New for 2026, Turner Price has introduced official brand partners, reflecting the strength of its supplier relationships. This year’s event is supported by Floral Food Group, Unilever, pladis, Essential Cuisine and Propercorn, which will play a key role in the exhibition.

Visitors can expect a showcase covering all areas of foodservice, from core ingredients and fresh produce through to drinks, desserts and operational solutions.

Tom English, commercial director at Turner Price, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing Cater Expo to Newcastle for the first time and making it our biggest event yet. The North East is a key growth area for us, with a strong and loyal customer base already in place, so it feels like a natural next step.

“Cater Expo has built a fantastic reputation and we’re proud to offer a free event that gives caterers the chance to meet suppliers, explore new ideas and see what’s new in the industry. The level of support from our suppliers and brand partners for Newcastle has been outstanding, and we’re looking forward to welcoming both existing and new customers through the doors.”

Turner Price joined Caterfood Buying Group in 2024.
