Tony Boyle appointed commercial director of Food Options

Tony Boyle, former head of Lynas Foodservice Scotland, has been appointed commercial director of Food Options, a wholesaler based in Livingston, West Lothian.

Boyle (pictured) previously spent eight-and-a-half years at Lynas Foodservice and before that he was managing director and commercial director of JB Foods. He has also previously worked for Ice Cream World, Lyons Seafoods and Bidfood.

Formed in 2002, Food Options is a multi-temperature foodservice distributor offering more than 2,500 frozen, chilled and ambient products. It also has its own meat processing plant, which enables it to provide a full catering butchery range. Food Options is a member of The Wholesale Group.

Boyle said: “We are a one-stop shop for all foodservice categories. We really do make trading uncomplicated. We can take orders later than most and deliver what is ordered next day. Simple but effective!
