Sugro announces long-term support for Alice Charity

Sugro has announced its official partnership with the Alice Charity.

Established in 2011, Alice Charity supports vulnerable and disadvantaged families across Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

It provides a variety of services, including running a food bank, delivering educational resources, and providing advocacy and mentoring to help to change lives and create strong foundations for people. It also runs a Big Cup scheme comprising weekly parent and toddler play group sessions, along with a People’s Pantry Scheme which provides a three-day emergency supply of food, baby products and toiletries to local families in need.

Having recently supported the Alice Charity’s 2025 Easter Appeal by collecting Easter eggs and confectionery, as well as making a donation of £600, Sugro was inspired to make Alice Charity its charity of choice and support the cause on a longer-term basis. Sugro has accordingly committed to making monthly donations.

According to figures from The Alice Charity, £50 provides 10 meals to families in need, £100 provides support to a family for one month, and £500 funds one of its six Big Cup Groups for six weeks. Sugro’s total annual donation therefore has the potential to fund 200 meals to families in need, provide support to 10 families for one month, and fund two Big Cup Groups for six weeks each.

In addition to monthly donations, Sugro will support seasonal campaigns at key points during the year and take part in volunteering opportunities.

Sugro UK’s head of commercial & marketing Yulia Petitt said: “We are incredibly pleased to be able to support such a fantastic local charity, which makes a huge difference to so many families within the area.”
