SPAR UK adds to own-label ambient dessert range

SPAR UK has added 400g tins of rice pudding and custard to its own-brand range. Each product has an rsp of 95p.

Rice pudding and custard are the largest sub-category of ambient desserts and have a retail sales opportunity of over £500,000.

Luna Chu, SPAR UK brand manager for grocery, said: “We are very excited to launch our new own-label tinned rice pudding and custard. These products are creamy and indulgent, and we expect them to quickly become customer favourites.

“Since both items can be served hot or cold, they are the perfect treat for every season.”

The launch is being supported in store with PoS and graphics, internal and external communications, and digital comms.
