SPAR’s Big Deals of Christmas campaign returns for third year

SPAR’s ‘Big Deals of Christmas’ campaign is back for 2025, marking its third consecutive year of delivering value to shoppers and driving footfall for retailers.

The initiative, which is running in SPAR stores in England, Scotland and Wales from 6 November to 1 January, offers customers weekly deals from leading household brands in categories including beers, wines & spirits, ice cream, soft drinks and confectionery.

Ian Taylor, SPAR UK retail & brand development director, said: “We are delighted to bring back the Big Deals of Christmas for a third year. Shoppers have really embraced the campaign and many now look forward to the deals dropping in the weeks running up to Christmas. It’s become a highly anticipated part of our value message, helping customers stretch their budgets while still enjoying festive treats.

It attracts more shoppers, boosts sales and ensures SPAR stores remain competitive in the busy holiday season. Working with some of the biggest brands in the market, we have created engaging promotions and tailored offers that deliver real excitement in-store.

“Last year we saw above average uplifts across the featured products, driven by strong feature space and solid marketing support. These results really highlight the impact of coordinated promotional activity during the Big Deals of Christmas.”

The campaign will benefit from integrated digital and local marketing support, with activity spanning social media, digital screens, in-store displays and regional activations.
