Ramsden International looks at AI to improve business processes

Ramsden International has held a one-day, cross-departmental AI workshop.

Hosted by b2b.store, the workshop included a demonstration of easy-to-access AI technology, followed by department-specific group sessions to understand how AI could be used to improve business processes.

Jez Threadgold, managing director of the wholesaler and exporter, said: “There’s little question AI usage is becoming increasingly common in the workplace, so we felt it was important to get to grips with how it could be used at Ramsden International.

“Understanding where to start is an important first step so we didn’t want to dive in without a clear direction, so we invited b2b.store in to share their knowledge and provide some pointers for us to follow.

“There was a real buzz about AI in the office as the session progressed as the teams spoke about what they’d learned and tested out some of the technology they’d been shown – it was an enlightening day.”

b2b.store has developed a series of wholesale-specific AI solutions and adapted them to Ramsden’s needs, unearthing new ideas alongside Ramsden’s teams as they discussed the labour-intensive tasks they had to complete.

The sessions also discussed any misconceptions or concerns they may have had about AI, showing how the technology is there to fill skills gaps and enhance their work, rather than replacing them.
