Q Catering appoints Caroline Martin as sales director

Sittingbourne-based Q Catering has announced the appointment of Caroline Martin as sales director.

Formerly regional sales manager at Kent Frozen Foods, where she spent 16 years, Martin (pictured) joins Q Catering as it strives towards a £20 million turnover by 2030.

In her new role, she will head up the wholesaler’s seven-strong sales team, which includes both field and telesales. She will be responsible for growing the customer base by guiding the team to provide high quality customer service and tighten efficiencies by introducing new processes.

Martin joins Q Catering’s managing director Steve Clarke and its recently appointed financial director Nick Jennings in the senior leadership team.

Commenting on her appointment, Martin said: “I’m delighted to have joined Steve and to be part of Q Catering’s ambitious journey at such a pivotal time. We have a robust but challenging business plan, and I am confident we will reach our goal by following it closely.

“I have used my first few weeks in the role to take every opportunity to meet and get to know our customers. It’s vital that we don’t lose touch with reality in these challenging times and stay close to our customers. My vision is that our customers will see my team as an extension of their business, acting as a consultant and mentor. ”

She adds: “Our new 22,600 sq ft facilities, including the recent 11,000 sq ft freezer installation, have allowed us to undertake a range review and endeavour to not only build our comprehensive range of core products but also make space for new, innovative lines. This allows us to keep up with current trends and customer demand, which is both important and exciting.”
