QUAKER OATS BREAKS INTO GRANOLA MARKET
PepsiCo has expanded its Quaker Oats portfolio by pioneering the launch of three granola varieties.
Oat Granola, Warm & Crunchy Oat Clusters, and Wholesome Crunch Granola are designed to ignite growth within the cereals category and are supported by a TV advertising campaign and in-store shopper marketing initiatives.
With only two in 10 UK households consuming granola today (Kantar), the granola segment has enormous headroom for growth, claims Duncan McKay, senior marketing manager at Grains UK.
Retailing at £2.69, the Quaker Oats Oat Granola offering comes in Raisin, Apples & Cinnamon, and Honey & Almond flavours, while the Oats Warm & Crunchy Oat Clusters range is available in Apples & Cinnamon, Golden Crunch, and Cranberry & Apple variants.
Meanwhile, Oats Wholesome Crunch has an rsp of £3.69 and contains a premium mix of grains, real fruits and nuts. It is also available in two flavour options: Pecan & Brazil Nuts and Goji & Blueberry.
