Pricecheck increases annual revenue by more than 14%

Pricecheck has achieved its second successive year of double-digit growth. Audited accounts for the year ended 30 April 2023 will be published later this year but the expected revenue growth will be between 14% and 15%, resulting in annual turnover of around £129 million.

Debbie Harrison: ‘Over the past 12 months, we’ve focused on innovation across the business.’

This performance represents Pricecheck’s ninth consecutive year of growth, which it attributes to diversification of the business.

The business’s core offering of delivered wholesale remains the biggest contributor to turnover but innovation in brand distribution and exploring emerging markets have continued to push Pricecheck forward.

Pricecheck offers more than 8,000 branded products to customers in the UK and to more than 80 countries globally. Over the past 12 months, it has secured exclusive and semi-exclusive distribution deals with Batiste, Arm & Hammer, Nair, Femfresh, W7 cosmetics, and Enjoy! Chocolate. This is in addition to enhancing existing agreements with Astonish and Malibu sun care.

Debbie Harrison, joint MD (trading), commented: “Every year since we moved to new premises in 2016 we have grown by double digits, apart from the Covid year ending April 2021, and that was still a year of growth. This is something we’re incredibly proud of as it demonstrates the hard work from the team over recent years.

“Over the past 12 months, we’ve focused on innovation across the business to enhance and change our offering. As a result, we’ve secured more exclusive distribution deals, diversified our retail offering and improved company efficiencies.

“It’s always been exciting at Pricecheck, but I’m more excited than ever for what the future holds.”
