Premier Exports London joins Unitas Wholesale

Luton-based Premier Exports London has joined Unitas Wholesale.

Formerly a Sugro member, Premier Exports London was established in 2010. It is a delivered wholesaler that supplies more than 550 international customers (95% retailers), primarily with grocery, confectionery and ambient products. The business operates from a 23,000 sq ft depot and had a turnover of £47 million in the past financial year.

Kieran Samani, managing director of Premier Exports London, said: “Unitas Wholesale is the ideal strategic partner for our business to support our ambitious plans for growth. In the next year we are aiming to focus on range extension and growing our overall business by 15%. We are looking forward to working with Unitas and other members within the group to achieve these goals.”

The new recruit takes Unitas Wholesale’s total membership to 155 businesses.

In other news, Unitas Wholesale has formally announced the appointments of Stephen Cheetham as member development controller and Mitesh Dhokia as member development manager – south region. Both joined the group in July.

Cheetham was previously channel controller at Blakemore. He has almost 30 years of experience in the industry, having held roles with Nisa, Today’s and Landmark. Dhokia was previously business development manager at Ethnic Brand Marketing (EBM), where he managed a portfolio of own-label soft drinks and global alcohol agency brands for distribution within the on-trade, wholesale, online and events channels in the UK. He has also worked for Bira 91 and Coca-Cola.
