Parfetts supports growth of The Local fascia with key appointment

Parfetts has promoted Leona Starzec to key account manager to support the growth of its off-licence symbol fascia, The Local.

Starzec (pictured) joined Parfetts in August 2023, and her hard work in supporting retailers is recognised by the promotion. She reports to John O’Neill, retail sales controller.

Starzec previously worked for Bargain Booze from 2010 to 2018 as a franchise support manager.

Steve Moore, head of retail at Parfetts, commented: “Leona brings a wealth of experience in the off-licence sector, and we’re confident that she will provide industry-leading levels of support for our current retailers. She is passionate about the industry and will help new retailers benefit from the flexible and margin-focused service offered by The Local.”

Leona will support retailers in key areas, such as category advice and consumer missions, to drive sales and profit for retailers.

Parfetts launched The Local to sit alongside its Go Local symbol group. It has no joining fees, minimum spend or store size requirements. All retailers in The Local group benefit from a 2% rebate, free delivery and regular promotional offers across a wide range of beers, wines and spirits. Members also benefit from the support of Parfetts’ regional business manager network.

Parfetts reports that The Local network has grown strongly over the past 12 months by attracting retailers from other fascias.
