One Stop supports FareShare with The Fruities & Veggies project
One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco, has launched a new fundraising and educational initiative supporting UK food redistribution charity FareShare.
Targeted at families and younger customers at One Stop stores, The Fruities & Veggies project has been developed to create more awareness about healthier eating habits and the specific benefits of eating a variety of fruit and vegetables.
Customers can find characters ‘Arthur Apple’, ‘Pete Potato’, ‘Patricia Pear’, ‘Lotty Lettuce’, ‘Tia Tomato’ and ‘Betty Beetroot’ on a range of point-of-sale material across the majority of One Stop’s estate.
Customers will also be able to purchase The Fruities & Veggies characters on a range of keyrings for £2.50 – with 45p from every keyring sold being donated to FareShare.
One Stop has created an interactive online space for the campaign, and it is giving customers opportunities to win prizes by playing educational games during the six-week campaign period.
