Nisa encourages customers to thank teachers as term ends

Nisa is running a ‘Thank You, Teacher’ gifting event as schools in England break up for the summer.

With 65% of shoppers looking to purchase an edible gift for their mentors (IGD), Nisa suggests that a simple box of chocolates is the perfect way to say thank you.

The promotion, which lands in store on 21 July, will be supported with themed marketing materials, PoS including wobblers, and acrtivity on the Nisa Locally social media channels.

Deals include Maltesers Box 110g at £1.25, Cadbury Roses 186g and Mars Celebrations 240g at £2 each (saving up to £1.59) and Maltesers Truffles 200g and Quality Street Intrigue Truffles 200g at £3.50 each.

Chris Walker, offline marketing manager at Nisa, said: “Teachers have been faced with the challenge of balancing remote teaching, in-person teaching, school closures, planning, and other issues the pandemic brought their way. And with many parents having to learn the ropes and home school for a big chunk of the 2020/21 school year, they have a newfound appreciation for the work teaching staff do.

“Placing this event in high footfall areas of their stores, our partners are likely to see a rise in impulse sales as shoppers see the deals and think, ‘Why not treat them this year?’.”
