Mondelez adds Sour Patch Kids Monster Heads to Halloween range

Mondelez International has added limited-edition Sour Patch Kids Monster Heads to its Halloween range for 2026.

The Halloween range brings together chocolate and sugar confectionery, as well as cookie treats, with each category designed to help retailers make the most of the seasonal sales opportunity across trick-or-treating, sharing, parties and at-home snacking.

The confectionery market was worth more than £65.1 million over the 2025 six-week Halloween period (NIQ).

Growing by 26.9% year on year (NIQ), Sour Patch Kids is bringing extra mischief to Halloween this year with the new seasonal variant. It features bigger jelly pieces than standard Sour Patch Kids in monster-head shapes, with dual-flavour, dual-colour combinations across Watermelon, Raspberry and Orange.

Also for Halloween 2026, Sour Patch Kids Watermelon & Strawberry Treatsize is returning following a strong launch last year, while Maynards Bassetts Spooky Gums is returning as an additional line within the Wine Gums range.

Other products back for Halloween are Cadbury Treatsize Sharing Selection 223g, which contains a variety of individually-wrapped treats for trick-or-treaters and sharing occasions; Cadbury Dairy Milk Freddo & Friends sharing pack; and Cadbury Fudge treatsize pack.

Also back is OREO Spooky, which features Halloween-inspired cookie embossing and orange-coloured creme.

Susan Nash, trade communications manager at Mondelez International, says: “Halloween is a pivotal sales opportunity for the confectionery market, and consumers are looking for trusted brands in formats that are fun and easy to share, while embracing the spooky season.

“Our 2026 range brings together Cadbury treatsize favourites, the return of OREO Spooky, playful Maynards Bassetts packs and the new Sour Patch Kids Monster Heads, giving retailers a strong mix of trusted favourites and seasonal innovation to boost their Halloween sales.”
