Michael McCormack becomes MD of Musgrave Wholesale Partners
Michael McCormack, formerly managing director of Musgrave in Northern Ireland, has been appointed MD of Musgrave Wholesale Partners, with responsibility for the company’s 10 MarketPlace branches (seven in the Republic and three in Northern Ireland).
He takes over from Noel Keeley, who became CEO of Musgrave Group at the start of the year.
McCormack (pictured), who joined the company in 2007, initially held senior positions on the wholesale foodservice side before joining the Northern Ireland retail business in 2015, with subsequent significant growth of the SuperValu, Centra and Mace chains.
Commenting on his appointment, Keeley said: “With Michael’s leadership, we are ideally placed to respond to exciting opportunities in the wholesale and foodservice sectors.
“This includes meeting the demand for changing food tastes and leveraging our digital technology to deliver world-class customer experiences.”
As well as MarketPlace and foodservice, Musgrave Wholesale Partners includes recent acquisitions La Rousse Foods and distributor Drinks Inc.
