The first ‘flavourite’ to return is KITKAT Chunky Cookie Dough. Cookie Dough proved a success with shoppers in 2016 when it was the No.1 confectionery singles launch, achieving almost £7.5 million in sales. The Cookie Dough variant replaces Salted Caramel.
The next ‘flavourite’ to return – from 17 August – will be KITKAT Chunky Mint. In 2013, mint proved a winning flavour for the brand as consumers voted the mint bar their No.1 Chunky Champion, ahead of other flavours such as Hazelnut and Chocolate Fudge. The Chunky Mint variant will be a limited edition, with just one production run.
The two returning flavours join the existing Milk Chocolate and Peanut Butter variants.
The ‘flavourites’ event will benefit from £1 million in media support, including social media and video-on-demand advertising, as well as trade support.
The KITKAT Chunky variants are available in both price-marked (2 for £1) and non-price-marked (rsp 65p) packs.
