Kff has launched a same-day click & collect service from its Aylesford, Kent, site for people finding it difficult to purchase food. There is a minimum order spend of £50.
Orders can be placed online or through a dedicated sales team.
In the first week or so of the scheme being in operation, 400 people have signed up for home delivery, with up to four vehicles doing the rounds, and about half that number have opted for the click & collect service.
Deliveries are currently being made from the Aylesford depot across Kent and the surrounding area, with plans in hand for the Witney branch to operate a similar service across Oxfordshire.
Managing director Chris Beckley said: “During these unprecedented times, it is vital we all pull together and do what we can to support the community.
“We have made the service as safe and hassle-free as possible. We hope it will help those most in need as well as key workers and those currently unable to access grocery delivery slots at their usual supermarkets.”
