John Mills appointed managing director of Landmark

Landmark Wholesale has announced the appointment of John Mills (pictured) as managing director.

Mills, who will start his new role in May, has worked for a range of UK food & drink manufacturing, wholesaling and retailing businesses, including Keith Spicer, InterContinental Brands, Gaymer Cider Co, Constellation Wines Europe and Strathmore Mineral Water Co. He has also been chairman of Hyperama, the Midlands-based cash & carry wholesaler, for the past three years.

Sam Wilcox, chairman of Landmark and managing director of AF Blakemore, commented: “This is a really exciting time for Landmark and having John in place, with his considerable experience and knowledge of the sector, will help us tackle the challenges currently faced by the industry.”

Landmark Wholesale has 38 members with a combined turnover of just under £3 billion per year.
