Hyperama is ‘in no hurry’ to replace chairman John Mills

Marcus Singh, managing director of Landmark Wholesale member Hyperama, has told Cash & Carry Management that the company is “in no hurry” to replace John Mills as its chairman.

Mills is to succeed Martin Williams as Landmark Wholesale’s managing director – a position he takes up next month.

Singh said: “We will be replacing John, but not immediately. He has held the post in a non-executive capacity for the past three years.”

The C&C/wholesaler operates from four sites: Nottingham, where the head office and JK Foods ethnic foods business are based, West Bromwich, Derby and Peterborough.

When Singh rang Cash & Carry Management, he was doing so sitting alongside Mills, who was about to attend his last Hyperama board meeting.
