Less than a year after joining Palmer and Harvey as chief operating officer, Helen Buck (pictured) is to leave the delivered wholesaler.

Buck moved to the Hove-based company in November after spending 10 years with Sainsbury, where she held a number of senior roles, latterly business development director.

She had also occupied management posts at Marks & Spencer, Woolworths and Safeway.

In a brief P&H statement, it was announced that Buck had “tendered her resignation for personal reasons. which the board has reluctantly accepted”.

While the company looks for a replacement, it continues to be headed by chairman and chief execuive officer Chris Etherington and group operations director Mark Leonard.

The senior management team also includes supply chain director Mark Wilson and regional operations director Alan Shaverin.
