Harlech Foodservice appoints a new operations manager

Harlech Foodservice has appointed Ian Evans as operations manager.

Evans (pictured) was a store manager at Somerfield for three years before joining Tesco, where he spent 11 years in various managerial roles. He then moved to Lidl where he stayed for four years as store manager of the Bangor branch.

Evans grew up locally to Harlech’s head office in Criccieth. The company, which also has a branch in Chester, offers more than 5,000 product lines to hotels, restaurants, cafés, pubs and public sector customers across Wales, Shropshire, the Midlands and the North West.

Commenting on Evans’ appointment, a company spokesperson said: “Ian brings with him a wealth of experience to help shape the future of the operational side of Harlech Foodservice and is already making a significant impact on improving our service levels.”
