Following the growing success of sharing size RTDs (Nielsen), Global Brands has expanded its value canned cocktail brand, Flare, with three variants in 70cl bottles, exclusive to independent retailers.
Sales of Flare 250ml canned cocktails have soared recently, with the brand now worth £1.1 million and growing by 27% in value within the impulse channel (Nielsen). Available in the 70cl format are existing variants Passion Fruit Martini and Mojito, along with new variant, Strawberry Daiquiri. The bottles are price-marked at £2.99.
Charlie Leaver, senior brand manager at Global Brands, comments: “In such a fast-moving category, we want to ensure continued investment in product innovation, and developing the Flare brand to support retailers in meeting consumer demand is key.
“The new format fits perfectly in the Flare range. There is a clear demand for 70cl RTDs which we have seen with VK and Hooch, so it felt natural for Flare to follow in the same footsteps.”
