The event took place in the Ica desert, 300km south of Lima, in one of the world’s driest regions, and Lunt (pictured) braved the elements to complete the race in seven days. This followed his participation in the Marathon Des Sables, Morocco, in 2016.
A keen endurance runner, Lunt raised nearly £2,000 for Confex’s chosen charity, Helen & Douglas House near Oxford, from his latest achievement. The hospice provides medical, emotional and practical support, helping families deal with the implications of living with a child who will die prematurely.
