Glasgow-based wholesaler JW Filshill has appointed Rory Galbraith as a category buyer.
Galbraith (pictured) previously spent three years at bus builder Alexander Dennis in various positions, including commodity buyer and commercial contract manager. He then worked at TGK Logistics as a delivery specialist for a short spell before joining Filshill in its commercial department in June 2021.
Commenting on his new role, Galbraith said: “I’m extremely proud to be a part of the JW Filshill family who are incredibly passionate about serving their retailers and local communities across the UK.”
In another appointment, Filshill has recruited Barry Duncan as senior operations manager.
Duncan spent more than 16 years in the RAF in engineering roles, then worked as a manager at Amazon for two years. He joins Filshill from medical device company Terumo Aortic, where he spent three-and-a-half years, latterly as manufacturing services manager.
Duncan said: “Having learned a lot in my previous role, I am really excited to be starting at Filshill and working with a great team as we develop together.”
