Fairway Foodservice has appointed Toby Jordan (pictured) as a marketing strategist to enhance its digital and online activity.
He joins the group after spending 17 years in the creative and marketing sectors.
The 20-member organisation, with turnover of £715 million, also has plans to develop its own-brand range.
Chief executive Chris Binge said: “Toby has traditional marketing experience, working internationally for large and small clients. He has also run his own company and has an understanding of fundamental issues affecting businesses such as cash flow, return on investment and cost control.”
