Ex-Bidfood director Paul Knight is new sales director of Thomas Ridley
Paul Knight, former managing director of Bidfood, has joined Thomas Ridley Foodservice as sales director.
Knight (pictured) worked at Bidfood for 15 years as MD and director of catering supplies, and before that he spent five years at 3663 in sales roles. He also previously worked for Booker Foodservice, again in sales and business development roles.
He founded Foodservice Central, the job board for the foodservice supply community, in July last year after leaving Bidfood.
Commenting on his new role at Thomas Ridley Foodservice, Knight said: “Throughout the interview process with Justin Godfrey (group managing director) and Damien Barrett (managing director), I was struck by their ambition for the business and their desire to help their customers grow back stronger.
“Over the next few weeks and months, I look forward to meeting more of the team, visiting their customers to hear thoughts on how Thomas Ridley Foodservice can support them further, and catching up with suppliers, creating mutually beneficial plans to work together.”
