Country Range Group launches breaded and battered pollock

Country Range Group has launched two pollock products.

Available in packs of 24, the MSC-rated Country Range Breaded Pollock and Battered Pollock Fillets come frozen and can be cooked in the oven, deep fryer or air fryer.

Closely related to cod, pollock is one of the most sustainable species currently available and is a cheaper alternative to cod. It is high in protein and ranked the 17th healthiest food in the world.

Rachel Porter, Country Range Group own brand manager, said: “With cod stocks under increasing pressure, it’s about time chefs and the wider catering industry looked at alternatives and opened their eyes to the amazing qualities of pollock.

“Not only does it have a fantastic flavour and texture, it’s cheaper, more sustainable and healthier than other fish options.
