Costco to open 30th UK branch in Gloucester
Costco is to open a 250,000 sq ft warehouse in Gloucester – its 30th UK branch. A date has not yet been given for the opening.
The warehouse at Centric Park, Eastern Avenue, is on an 11.5-acre site previously occupied by Interbrew.
Justin Parker, director at Chase Commercial, which has been retained by Costco (alongside Colliers International) to deliver suitable sites in the UK, said: “We are delighted to have secured this prominent site in Gloucester on behalf of Costco Wholesale. The deal is reflective of Costco’s performance track record and their ability to move decisively once suitable sites are identified. Costco are entirely self-funded.”
Costco Wholesale is actively seeking further 6-12 acre sites to provide 150,000 sq ft buildings with 650 parking spaces and the ability to develop a petrol station with EV charging. It is particularly looking at the following locations:
