CJ Lang colleagues complete a firewalk in aid of Marie Curie

More than 40 colleagues from CJ Lang & Son have taken part in a firewalk at the company’s Dundee depot to raise funds for SPAR’s national charity partner Marie Curie.

The 40 people from all areas of CJ Lang’s business – distribution, logistics, warehouse, head office and SPAR Scotland stores – have so far raised £4,000 in online and offline donations by walking across the hot embers.

Paula Middleton, marketing manager of CJ Lang, said: “We had never done a firewalk so we were excited to step into the unknown.

“The firewalk was an exciting opportunity to not only challenge ourselves personally and tick it off our bucket lists, but to raise funds for our national charity partner, Marie Curie.

“All the money raised will help Marie Curie continue to provide vital end of life care for terminally ill people and their families during their final days, weeks and months.”

SPAR has raised £2.8 million for Marie Curie since support started in 2017.
