Caterforce focuses on health and responsible sourcing for own brand
Caterforce has reformulated products in its Chefs’ Selections own-brand range as part of its ongoing commitment to deliver healthier nutrition and support responsible sourcing.
Joanna Halucha, head of own brand, buying & technical, said: “We are committed to driving innovation and reformulation right across our range, setting the standard in the foodservice sector. Our focus is on creating products that not only align with evolving public health guidance but also deliver on the flavour, quality and value our customers expect.”
Caterforce has continued to reduce the salt content in Chefs’ Selections products – including Chicken & Mushroom Slices and Soft Spread – to align with Public Health England’s 2024 targets. These latest changes mean that more than 15.6 tonnes of salt have been removed from the Chefs’ Selections range to date.
In addition, Caterforce has eliminated palm oil from more products in its range. Chefs’ Selections Flour Tortillas have now been reformulated using rapeseed oil, while Chefs’ Selections Hash Browns (pictured) are now produced with sunflower oil instead of palm oil.
