Castell Howell welcomes record numbers of customers at trade shows
Customers from every corner of Wales and beyond attended Castell Howell’s series of trade shows held at three locations: ICC Newport, Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli, and Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay.
The three events, which welcomed record numbers of customers and suppliers, featured live demonstrations and tailored menu solutions, as well as showcasing products. Customers also engaged with producers to explore emerging trends shaping the sector.
One of the largest companies in Wales, Castell Howell has built its reputation on reliability, scale and trust, and the trade shows highlighted how the company’s strength lies equally in its people and partnerships as in its logistics capability.
“This year’s trade shows have been our most successful to date, and the engagement, energy and appetite for innovation was truly exceptional,” said Haydn Pugh, sales & marketing director of the Caterforce member.

“At Castell Howell, we are more than food and these events demonstrate our commitment to providing not just products, but partnership, expertise and practical solutions that empower our customers to thrive in a competitive market.
“We don’t measure the success of our trade shows by immediate sales as our customers and the hospitality sector are navigating real challenges and our focus is firmly on supporting them. Instead, success is about availability, inspiration and trust. Customers know the products they see will be there when the time is right for their business.
“The message across all three shows was clear: we’re family, not corporate, and that was genuinely felt throughout.”
With almost 1,000 employees and a fleet of more than 250 delivery vehicles operating from its six depots across Wales and England, Castell Howell continues to strengthen its infrastructure while remaining focused on its core purpose: helping customers succeed.
Pugh added: “The success of our trade shows is down to the strength of our relationships with customers and suppliers alike. We are proud to stand alongside them, championing quality, supporting business and helping make good food happen every day.”
