Boost appoints Jon Francis as wholesale controller

Boost Drinks has appointed Jon Francis, formerly a business unit controller at AG Barr, as its new wholesale controller.

He succeeds Simon Whitaker, who retires on 29 July after 47 years in the food and drink industry, including nine years at Boost Drinks. 

Francis (pictured) brings to Boost a wealth of experience in the wholesale sector and functional drinks market, having previously spent 15 years at AG Barr, most recently as business unit controller for Booker. He also looked after the Bestway and Costco accounts during his time with AG Barr. 

Commenting on the changes, Boost Drinks’ CEO Simon Gray said: “After a hugely successful nine years with us and with retirement just ahead we get ready to say good bye and a very big thank you to our well-known wholesale controller Simon Whittaker.

“At the same time we’re very excited to pass the baton to another well established wholesale character Jon Francis. Welcome to the team Jon!”
