Birchall Foodservice has launched a series of gluten-free workshops at its Burnley headquarters.
At the first such event, customers saw five suppliers showcasing their wares in the company’s new training and exhibition centre. They also witnessed a gluten-free cookery demonstration by Birchall Foodservice’s development chef Paul Dickson.
Managing director Justin Birchall (left) said: “The demand for gluten-free products has seen a dramatic rise in recent years and chefs want advice and recipe inspiration to help them cater for the growing numbers of diners who are following a gluten-free diet. We have received fantastic feedback from both customers and suppliers.”
The foodservice specialist, a leading Country Range Group member, has depots in Burnley, Wrexham, Durham, Sheffield and Stafford.
