Bestway Wholesale has launched a campaign for seasonal lines, including ice cream, soft & licensed drinks and BBQ foods.
The colourful theme has been applied to all marketing material in branches and on the company website.
A specially created brochure lists 120 promoted items in addition to the usual monthly deals publication. And for the first time in a summer campaign, Bestway Wholesale has provided best-one retailers with gondola end branding in their PoS kit.
Salih Sheikh, head of marketing and digital, said: “Last year retailers were able to capitalise on the summer of football and the unexpected heatwave which hit the UK.
“In the absence of a big sporting event this year, we have developed a campaign to help capitalise on the 42% of shoppers who are more likely to do things spontaneously as a result of hot summer weather.”
Sheikh added that the featured BBQ range includes the top three categories: sausages, buns and soft drinks.
Further promotions will focus on family days out and summer holidays.
