Andrew Selley takes over as FWD chairman

As widely forecast after Landmark’s managing director Martin Williams announced earlier this year that he would be stepping down as the FWD chairman, the position is to be filled by the organisation’s deputy chairman Andrew Selley (pictured), who is Bidvest Foodservice CEO.

andrew-selley-and-bidvest-lorry-for-webSelley is the first principal in the wholesale Federation’s 98-year history to come from a foodservice distributor.

His priorities over the next two years will be to help steer the industry through the Brexit implications and ensure that the interests of the wholesale industry are at the forefront of government decision making.

FWD chief executive James Bielby said: “There’s no doubt that the next few years will be politically and economically turbulent, and the FWD will be playing a key role in guiding the industry through the changing legislative landscape.”
