Airdrie-based Davidson C&C on the market

Family-owned Davidson Cash & Carry in Airdrie, Lanarkshire, is up for sale due to the impending retirement of the owners.

The operator, a member of Today’s Group, was established in 1965. Its product range includes tobacco, alcohol, confectionery and soft drinks. Opening hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and  8am to 11am at the weekend.

The Davidsons have traded from the current site, on the Brownsburn Industrial Estate, for over 20 years.

Suzanne Lawrie, of Edinburgh-based property agents DM Hall, said: “Around 60% of turnover arises from shop sales (C&C) with the balance coming from deliveries.

“The business is also a one-stop shop for food and ice cream vans, with a range of frozen food, gas, slush mix and ice cream.

“Our client is seeking offers of around £375,000 for the property, goodwill, fixtures and fittings, with stock available at valuation.”
