Today’s Group has named Mark Bottomley (pictured) as digital business development controller.

He will deal with both the wholesale and retail sides, co-operating with colleagues to develop work that is already in place following the group’s recent partnership agreement with BigDL, the app-based platform targeted at consumers, and the Plan for Profit app aimed at independent retail and wholesale members.

Bottomley, who formerly worked for Bestway, was most recently with Lucozade and Ribena supplier LR Suntory.

John Schofield, acting managing director for Today’s Group, said: “Our digital agenda is a key part of our strategy going forward. Equipping both our wholesale members and symbol retailers with the digital tools to grow their businesses is of the utmost importance to us.”
