LANDMARK LAUNCHES VINTNERS COLLECTION DEAL
Until 20 June, Landmark Wholesale is offering all varieties in its Vintners Collection range at £19.99 per case. At that price, and with an rsp of £4.99 a bottle, retailers can enjoy a profit on return of 19.9%.
The selection includes pinot grigio, merlot, shiraz and chardonnay.
Group business development director Chris Doyle said: “We realise that wine is a notoriously complicated category. We wanted to support retailers as best we can so we’ve made wine simple by selecting the tried and tested favourites to create one complete great value range.
“It has been a real hit with retailers and their customers alike and this limited period offer means the margins are even better.”
In a separate development, the group’s Lifestyle Express chain was named best newsagent convenience retailer by shoppers at the annual convenience tracking programme awards.
Landmark retail controller Stuart Johnson said: “It’s fantastic that shoppers think we do a great job.”

TODAY’S RAISES OVER £22,000 FOR NEPAL FUND
Today’s Charitable Trust, together with the group’s 160-plus wholesale membership, has donated over £22,000 to the Nepal Earthquake fund in response to multi-agency appeals.
The donation will assist in the purchase of emergency aid, including temporary shelters, food and clean water.
Bill Laird, managing director at Today’s Group, said: “The donation will bring relief to a small number of the many hundreds of thousands of people who have been affected by the disaster.”
The Nepal earthquakes affected the lives of at least eight million people, with thousands of people confirmed dead.

FEEDING GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL GOERS
Hunt’s Foodservice will, at the end of the month, be supplying frozen, chilled and ambient food to on-site caterers at the Glastonbury Festival – the third time in successive years that it has done so.
The Sherborne-based wholesaler supports farmers and producers from across the West Country, supplying the region’s beef, Cheddar cheese, clotted cream and a variety of fresh and frozen produce, along with leading household brands.
A dedicated team from Hunt’s will be on hand to deal with demand, calling on requirements from its nearby cold store at its headquarters.
Managing director Richard Hunt said: “We have been serving the West Country for over 60 years and have the local, family values that reflect the message of the Glastonbury Festival.”
