The Soft Drink Company offers free nationwide delivery

Sheffield-based wholesaler The Soft Drink Company has introduced a free-of-charge delivery service for customers in the whole of Great Britain on orders over £1,000. It also offers free next-day delivery to customers situated between Leeds and Leicester.

The family-run company was established by Paul Broomhead and Phil Mason in 1993 with £5,000, using a garage to hold stock, and it now operates from a 30,000 sq ft warehouse in Sheffield.

The Soft Drink Company specialises in supplying soft drinks, confectionery and crisps & snacks, and serves a wide variety of customers, including independent retailers, forecourts, schools, colleges, sports centres, leisure centres and theatres.

The wholesaler joined Sugro UK in 2011 to provide 2,000 product lines to its customers through traditional marketing communications and online ordering.

As Covid-19 took hold of country, The Soft Drink Company sped up its digital transformation journey, and it now has over 600 promotions live online at any given point and offers online ordering 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Company director Paul Michael Broomhead commented: “Since outlining our goals on our digital transformation that began early 2020, we have seen drastic improvements in our customer experience.

“Standards of service levels have slipped in the wholesale industry over the last three years, and we understand it has become ever more difficult for retailers to keep on track of their business metrics. We felt we could play a role in alleviating some of the pressure on retailers by providing a comprehensive service and ordering platform where customers can view our promotions, NPD and exclusive listings.”
