Sugro UK ran its first Networking Event using Web real-time communication (WebRTC) on 14-15 July.
The event gave wholesalers and suppliers an opportunity to host one-to-one video meetings quickly and professionally.
Approximately 400 meetings of 20 minutes each took place over the two days.
Sugro’s managing director Neil Turton commented: “It was a very successful and innovative event to adapt to the times and create liquidity of trading between our suppliers and members.”
Yulia Goodwin, Sugro’s head of trading and marketing, added: “COVID-19 has taught us that providing advanced solutions to help connect and network both members and suppliers is crucial to success in a rapidly transforming strategic environment. Shruti Senapati, Sugro marketing co-ordinator, did an excellent job at coordinating and executing the virtual event single-handed from start to finish.”
